Tom Bishop

Born in 1983, Tom has ridden from a young age.

After leaving school Tom went to Exeter University to study Ancient History. It was while he was there that he first contacted David Pipe about riding out. ‘Bish’ (as he is known to his friends) has now been a part-time work rider for four years, riding out for the point-to-point yard for three years whilst he was at university and now riding out on Saturdays.

Bish works full-time in London as a construction project manager for a company called Bruce Shaw Partnership.

Bish rides in point-to-points for his Mum, who trains point-to-pointers from their home near Wincanton. He has ridden eleven winners so far, including a hunter chase. His big ambition is to one day get a ride for the Pipe yard and to always outride a certain George Walters!
